Born with a deep love and attraction to horses  Julianne began riding at a very early age. She has a wealth of knowledge and a lifetime experience to share with you and here is just a little of where she’s been to gather a life time of learning.

Growing up on her father’s Thoroughbred breeding farm near Sunbury in Victoria. Her first pony was a pinto pony called Tiny, whom she quickly out grew, he was quiet and was left to her siblings to learn to ride on. She then began riding everyone's so called problem horses to the dismay and amazement of her peers to tame them in someway. She was hardly seen off a horse or away from one. Even taking several of her family's horses to perform in an english class movie set and, filmed at the oldest Victorian Historical Homestead for a day with her school peers and english teachers. She began working at a local riding school, taking out trail rides and teaching people to ride when she was young. Even teaching a few actors for the Cash and Co movie set at 'Holy Green', Victoria's oldest Homestead now known as Emu Bottom in Sunbury in the late 60's early 70's.

She was given her first Thoroughbred  when she was 10 years old. It was a Bay, 3 year old hardly broke, gelding 16.1 hh named Magic Bobbin. He has been regarded by her to be one of her best teachers and an equine friend. With minimum help from her father, she prepared and raced him and by the time she was twelve, was to have several wins under her young belt. After he had finished with racing, she later took him to hunt clubs and dressage lessons with her horsey aunty.

By the age of 12 she had started several thoroughbred two year old horses under saddle, doing this with little or next to no supervision or training other than her own instincts and what is now known as ‘rapport’ building between herself and the horses.

Over the years Julianne entered into and seriously studied several of the main equine disciplines to gain a constructed knowledge of the sport. Including Dressage, Hunting, Jumping, Eventing, Racing, Endurance, Stock-work, Team Penning, Showing and Reining.

As it is now told from her “that it wasn't until she met with the now legendary Pat Parelli in 1990 at a clinic in Queensland that her world with horses took a major development spiral upwards”. As she says “almost to back when she was a young girl, innocent of all the Ego drives that can often ruin the horses trust and interest in us”.

She set about learning more about the principles and purposes behind Pats conceptual training systems. She then went on to join the Team with Linda at the helm and announce these Horse Training Principles, Practices and Techniques to as many horse people that she could meet. She set up one of the first Parelli Natural Horsemanship support groups in Australia. Pat would call them Corrals ‘a place where locals would come together and share what they’d learned from the time spent with their horses. So she named hers the ‘OK corral!’ in the first year it gained 26 loyal and dedicated students. Most of which still are today.

Throughout the early to mid 90‘s Julianne also helped host Pat Parelli clinics in SE Qld to assist Linda with having Pat coming back twice a year. Julie would gather her horses and travel interstate to do as many clinics as she could afford to do, around Australia while he visited each year.

In 1995 she attended the very first instructor course and by 1996 became a class B level 3 instructor. Still raising her then teenage family she continued coaching in the levels program until 2000, when she declined teaching due to other more pressing commitments.

In 2005 she found herself working hard to establish a Successful Breeding Horse Farm just outside of Canungra, called Stonefox Ranch. Where she has been breeding some quality young stock for sale.

Naturally developed young Horses suited for recreation to performance. Inquiries welcome!

Julianne has now returned to the faculty after a spell from teaching and is again ready and able to pursue her career as a Parelli Professional. She has always regarded herself as a lifetime member and student of this amazing PNH journey to become a Horseman and she is keen to share these experiences and especially those set about in the training programs for those like minded students.

In 2009 Julianne traveled to the PNH headquarters at the International Study Centre in Pagosa Springs to refresh her studies. She completed four week Master Class Course. Then married her best friend and soul mate, John in front of the Big Top at the Centre before returning back to Australia.

Most recently she has Completed a 5 day Game of Contact course with Linda Parelli while here in Australia. She plans to go back to the states 2012 to further these studies, so she can always be able to share with you the most updated and inspiring information.
