Kime Conkright is a person that was born loving horses. At the age of 8, living in the mountains of Colorado, she received her first horse, Koli. Koli was an amazing teacher. She was a "been there, done that" horse that had taught a lot of the local children to ride and went on to teach a couple more. Kime learned to ride by wandering through the Roosevelt National Forest and how to care for horses by going through 4-H. As a child she competed in gymkhanas and local 4-H shows and spent all of the time possible with the horses owned by her family which quickly expanded from one to 12. Kime and her sister, Charlotte, each spent a period of time operating a pony ring which required 8 ponies and working at a local riding stable.

After moving out of the mountains Kime went on to marry, raise her family and start a small business with her husband. This caused her to move away from horses for a period of time. During that time, though, her family kept the horses around and used them for back country camping and hunting. In 1989 her father heard of Parelli Natural Horse*Man*Ship. In 1991 he and Kime's sister rode in a clinic with Pat Parelli and were sold on the benefits of Natural Horse*Man*Ship and the Parelli principles. Shortly thereafter Pat left for Australia and the only information available were the outline they received at the clinic, a couple of video tapes and, a couple of years later, the book "Natural Horse-Man-Ship" by Pat Parelli. As Kime's son grew older she was able to get back to her horses. In an effort to continue the study of Natural Horsemanship she rode with and audited several clinics with Buck Brannaman, Ray Hunt, Tom Dorrance, Bill Dorrance, Joe Wolter, John Lyons and others.

In 1996 the family discovered the Video Coaching Program of Parelli Natural Horse*Man*Ship. It was a life changing experience. For the first time, Kime was able to see a program of how to progress and how much was possible with horses. There was a new purpose in her time with horses, feedback on how she was progressing and a reason to go farther and do more than she ever thought she wanted or needed. Shortly after that discovery she dreamed of helping others to find the same thing. Through the course of her journey she has been beset by a number of physical challenges for both the horses and herself and never wavered from achieving her dream. It has not only been a horsemanship journey, it's also been a journey of personal development.

In 2004 her son was at an age to be self sufficient and she has since dedicated herself to becoming a Licensed Parelli Professional. Since 2006 she has spent a total of 30 weeks at the Parelli Centers continuing her education in horsemanship and teachermanship and is now living the dream that she once thought was unattainable.

Kime's goal is to mentor and coach other people who are passionate about horses and want to develop a deeper understanding of these incredible animals using the principles and philosophies provided by Pat Parelli. If that describes you she is ready, willing and able to contribute to your journey.
