I’ve had a need and desire to be around horses for as long as I can remember. Rusty finally made it into my life when I was 10. We participated in local shows and 4-H from then on out. After a few years I decided I was ready for a slightly more challenging horse, particularly one that was younger and could physically do more. Enter Nitro.
Nitro was the horse that brought me into the Parelli Program; we picked each other out in May 2003 and by August that year he had me committed to the Program. Because of this program Nitro is no longer my worst nightmare but my dream horse, and he’s a much happier horse for it as well.
My three personal horses are: Nitro, my very confident and athletic Quarter Horse cross; Don Juan, a American Paint horse, who is a prime example of what the power of suggestion can do; and Tippy, who glides or flounces about with me, depending on what mood we’re both in.
I attended the Fast Track course during August 2010, and the following February I attended the One-Star Instructor Course in Florida. Since then I have been continuing to develop my horsemanship both at home with my herd and by attending lessons and clinics put on by other instructors.
My dream is to continue to advance my horsemanship, instructor status, and eventually become a Horse Development Specialist.
I would love to be a part of your journey and to help you achieve your dreams.
