Like many little girls I loved horses from the first time I saw them. Growing up my exposure to horses was limited so I found creative ways to be with them every chance I got even if that meant asking my parents to stop on the side of the road so I could look at them during trips. I read every story book and novel I could get my hands on. It wasn’t until I had started my career in retailing that I was able to pay for lessons at a college that offered an equestrian program in Toronto.

As life went forward I continued to find ways to be with horses. After leaving my career in retail I worked for a horse breeder and was exposed to a variety of horses and different training methods.
In 1993 I moved to Grand Cayman and immediately got involved in the local riding school and the Cayman Islands Equestrian Federation.

In 2003 I bought/rescued my first Cayman horse named Giselle. As a result of her challenging nature I researched different training methods and found PNH. It not only changed her life but mine as well. Right at the beginning of my journey I started dreaming of the opportunity to be able to study at a   campus. Now that dream has come true and to date, I have spent 14 weeks studying at Parelli Campus'. To make my last 8 weeks at the Ocala campus even more meaningful I brought my other Cayman horse Whiskey with me!

This was the first time a horse from the Caribbean had been at the campus and a first for a Cayman horse to be seen by so many international horse enthusiasts. Everyone who met her was interested in her so it was a great opportunity to talk to people about the Cayman Islands and the challenges facing horses and their humans in the Caribbean.

My goals are; to continue to progress with my horsemanship. And, help share PNH as a 1* Junior Instructor in new regions like the Caribbean, with a particular focus on local horses.

Currently I am completing a DNA study on the local horses in the Cayman Islands to give them an identity of their own and create a new awareness about what horses need in general.

I am based out of Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.  However I also travel to Blue Mountains, Ontario, Canada.
