On a warm February evening in 2001, Linda met a friend at the Florida State Fair to watch a free horsemanship demonstration.  That evening she watched Pat Parelli wow the crowd on his stallion Liberty Major.  Pat shared his love of horses…the way they looked, moved, and even smelled.  As he spoke to the crowd, Liberty Major and Pat continued their dance.  Linda found herself laughing and crying sometimes at the same time.

Linda's journey began that warm February evening in 2001.  It was the night she first heard the words “savvy” and “horse” spoken in the same sentence.  It was also the night she watched a horse loving man show a captivated crowd how beautiful a partnership can be between horse and human.

Linda grew up in a horse loving family.  It was common for her grandfather, father, uncle and best friend to saddle up for a ride after Sunday dinner.  She has many fond memories of her years in 4-H...camping and showing at the county fair with her pony, King, and her horse, Flicka.

As an adult, horses were absent from Linda's life for many years.  When Linda was able to have a horse again, she found Singing Fawn and brought her to a local stable.  Fawny had quite a few people problems.  Actually, many of the horses at the stable had people problems and the people were definitely not living their dreams.

Fortunately, Parelli Natural Horse-man-ship gave Linda a program to follow with great success.  Fawny became her partner.  She is retired now but still meets Linda at the gate each morning.  Her current herd includes: Fawny (QHX), Melody (Morgan), Be Joyful (Morgan/draft, kill pen rescue), Pumpkin Pie (Miniature horse) and her husband’s new partner, AR Smart Nitro (QH) also known as Clyde.

Linda has attended clinics and lessons with as many Parelli instructors as possible since 2001 and has been known to travel 4 hours for a one hour lesson.  She was a regular volunteer at Parelli Tour Stops, joined Savvy Club in 2003 and turned Savvy Conference into an annual vacation.  Linda's savvy grew as a student during 8 weeks of courses at the Parelli Center.

A 2009 highlight for Linda and Melody was their Liberty Spotlight in Franklin, TN.  Linda then began her journey from student to instructor and graduated from a 12 week Externship in October 2009.  In January 2010 she completed the 2 Star Instructor Course and became a 2 Star Junior Instructor.

Linda is living her dream and now has a new dream...to help Pat change the world for humans & horses.  Linda is eager to help you live your dream, too!
