I have always loved horses! My mother's best friend had two ponies that I was able to ride once in a while. I was allowed to just saddle up and go (but not out of the yard). Luckily, they were "been there and done that" ponies with a great attitude! The worst thing they would do is eat grass (LBI's maybe).

I didn't fully figure out my passion for horses until my mother passed away when I was 13. It was then that I knew that I wanted horses in my life. I have still to this day never had a job that didn't involve horses! From mucking stalls and paddocks in order to pay for trail rides all the way to leading trail rides, summer camps and daily lessons all in order to pay my horse's board.

My first horse taught me a lot! His name was Cody and he was a Quarter Horse off the track. He taught me that you cannot MAKE a horse to anything (LBE maybe). As long as I did what he wanted to do for a while then we could go do what I wanted to do!

After high school I went to a riding College called Meredith Manor. I went through their 2 year program. I loved it because I was with horses all day but still felt like something was missing. I just didn't know what that was yet! I graduated in March of 2001 with a Riding Masters VI and a Teaching Level Two Certificate.

I went back to Rhode Island and took a job as the head instructor and trainer at Glen Farms in Portsmouth, R.I. All was going great until I started to get frustrated with my students and my horses. I could only take them so far and only do so much with them, as soon as the owner would get back on the problems returned.

The Farm manager's held a Parelli Clinic at the facility and they pretty much had to make me ride in it! It took some time for it to kick in but it ended up being the best thing that ever happened to me. I played around with all of the games but still continued riding as normal.

Then one day I felt that feeling again but this time I knew what it was: the love for a true relationship!!! A connection! It brought me back to that day that my mother had passed away and reminded me of why I wanted horses in my life!

In May of 2004 I came to the Parelli Center for a 10 week course! You know what happened after that!!! I was fully committed! After 4 University?s, 6 months on horse health, the first 6 week course taught by Linda and almost 3 years of faculty I am ready to help you remember why you wanted horse's in your life!
